Hey there!
We are so glad you dropped by! We hope that if you're considering making Eastpoint Victory your home church, that your immediate quetions will be answered here. Below is a brief Q & A style lay out of the most common questions asked:
What is it like?
- When we say "come as you are", we mean it. Everyone is encountering the love of God & the truth of His word, at different ages & stages of their lives. Perfection is not a pre-requisite for coming to church. Our desire is that regardless of where you're at in your faith journey, that we can partner with the Holy Spirit to empower you with the truth of scripture, practical tools to apply it to your daily life & a consistent community to grow & serve with in the process. We do that through weekly Sunday worship services, Monday healing rooms, Wednesday bible study & Tuesday/Thursday outreach to the community. We would love for you to join any one of these opportunities to encourage your spiritual growth & develop a supportive community around you.
What does Eastpoint believe in?
- When pursuing a new home church, it's important to know where the church stands regarding the truth & standard put forth by scripture. To find our complete statement of faith, please click on our statement of faith page, or follow the link here.
What about my kids?
- Sunday Childrens Chapel is available for children ages 5-12, following our collective Sunday Worship service. We believe there is no junior Holy Spirit & that children are an example unto us, of the faith required to enter the kingdom of heaven. When Jesus saw his disciples turning children away, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” (Mark 10:13-15) We are not here to entertain, but to equip the saints (however young) with the truth of scripture & the reality of the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives. For those with children under the age of 5, there is a parent lead nursery available for you to enjoy.
Where do I park?
- Parking is currently available along the residential road of 38th Street. Feel free to park anywhere that isn't occupied & isn't blocking a residential driveway. Once Sunday service transfers to our new T&C building, a designated parking lot will be available.
What do I wear?
- Whatever you've got! "The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7). Our desire is not to produce "white washed tombs" (those who look clean on the outside, but whose hearts are far from God). We want to partner with the Lord to be a people of genuine faith, regardless of social status or external appearance. The Lord isn't looking for performers. He's looking for those who desire to look more like His Son, Jesus Christ.
